If someone chooses to make a complaint or appeal against a decision made by CASLTC, the process to explore this needs to be timely, objective and easily accessible to all parties.
An individual can lodge a complaint or appeal to the committee outlining the details in writing.
The committee will decide who to appoint to investigate the complaint. This should be someone independent from the original incident, in order to handle the complaint as objectively as possible.
All parties should have their views heard fairly in the process.
An individual should be able to make an appeal up to 14 days after being notified of the first decision.
Individuals should be notified of any decision in writing within 10 days.
